To print the document you can use any Windows printer including ViewPlus embossers. Grouping is important when you have a document with multiple identical elements such as rain drops. By grouping elements you are able to save time in titling and describing each element so that you only have to complete that step once. This also makes the document easier for the user to navigate using the touchpad. This tutorial will teach you how to group multiple elements in a document.

The link function allows you to connect an element in your IVEO file to a document from mainstream Windows programs such as Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio as well as linking to web pages. IVEO lets you to create your own sound files and attach them to elements within your document. Attaching sound files gives sound or voice feedback when selecting an element using the touchpad which allows you to customize your examples for a greater opportunity of learning. This tutorial will take you through the steps of recording sound files and then attaching them to the elements. If you are planning to record your own sound files you first must perform a microphone setup procedure. If you are not planning to record your own sound files proceed to step 2.

Adding text labels can make IVEO documents easier to read. This text is not translated to Braille however it is voiced back when selected using the IVEO touchpad. The text is available in a variety of fonts and colors so you can customize your document to your liking. This tutorial will teach you how to add text to your document and select different fonts sizes and colors.

Adding braille labels to IVEO documents can be a useful tool. However this can also cause difficulties. IVEO documents are SVG files (Scalable Vector Graphics) which means that you have the option of zooming within the document making images larger or smaller than original size. In doing this the braille too is scaled. Since the original size is not preserved the braille becomes unusable. To remedy this we have come up with an alternate way of adding braille labels through the use of Tiger Designer.

IVEO is a great tool to create custom graphics. It allows you to import a graphic from all Windows based programs edit the graphic and add text labels website links and sound files while also giving you instant voice feedback. This tutorial will teach the basic steps in creating a custom graphic but keep in mind that there are more advanced features detailed in later tutorials.
